Gayle S. Christen, CPCU, CSSC
Gayle, who has over 25 years of claims and structured settlement experience, is an associate responsible for the Cincinnati, and Columbus, Ohio offices. She has evaluated and negotiated thousands of claims and disputes, designed and negotiated scores of traditional personal injury structures, including workers’ compensation. Gayle’s unique area of expertise includes non-traditional, high exposure, and excess and surplus cases.
Her career began in insurance as a Personal Lines Field Claims Representative for MFA Mutual in Indianapolis. Thereafter, she moved to Great American Insurance Company evaluating, strategizing and negotiating highly complex cases where she enjoyed over 20 years of progressive advancement. Gayle became an officer of the Great American in 1987. While a home office staff manager, she had the opportunity to act as a structured settlement resource designing quotes, educating staff on the use and sale of structures, and personally negotiating some of the most complex cases. She also served as a Divisional AVP, VP and Sr. Vice President at AESIC, Agricultural Excess & Surplus Insurance Company in Cincinnati. Prior to joining Ringler Associates, Gayle served as an Associate/Broker with a prominent settlement annuity firm in Indianapolis. During her career, she has worked in Indianapolis, San Francisco, Fresno, Cincinnati and the Twin Cities.
As an associate, Gayle’s responsibilities include marketing, quoting, designing and presenting structured settlement plans and attending settlement conferences. She also conducts local and national seminars on the use of settlement annuities.
Gayle is a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), a member of the National Structured Settlements Trade Association (NSSTA), the E&S Claims Manager’s Association and former Board Member of the Minnesota Guaranty Association. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in business administration from the College of St. Catherine. Gayle received the Certified Structured Settlement Consultant designation from the University of Notre Dame in 2002.
