Dennis P. English CSSC



Dennis English is an associate and manager of the South Carolina office in Charleston. He is a former Chairman of the Board of Directors and served as a member of the Board of Directors for several years. Dennis has over 30 years of insurance experience, including excess and surplus and personal lines claims management, home office claims administration, risk management, and marketing.

Prior to joining Ringler Associates in 1987, Dennis was President of English & Associates and was one of the firm's founders in 1981. Before that, he established a risk management division for a transit company in Southern California and was Home Office Liability Claims Manager for Mission Insurance Company in Los Angeles.

Between 1971 and 1976, he worked for two subsidiaries of American Reserve Corporation, beginning with Reserve Insurance Company in Southfield, Michigan. In 1974, he transferred to Market Facilities in Los Angeles and worked in excess and surplus claims as Regional Casualty Claims Manager.

He was a Group Sales Representative for John Hancock in 1968 and Claims Supervisor for Allstate Insurance in Southfield, Michigan, from 1965 to 1968.

Dennis is a member of the New York Claim Association, the National Structured Settlements Trade Association (NSSTA), and the National Association of Life Underwriters. He gives frequent seminars to claims organizations throughout the United States and London. Also, he is a Registered Representative with the National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD).

He received the Certified Structured Settlement Consultant (CSSC) designation from NSSTA in concert with the University of Notre Dame in 2000. Dennis received a bachelor of science degree from Central Michigan University in 1965.
