| Philip Corboy, a nationally acclaimed trial lawyer in Chicago and one of the most influential lawyers in the country, wrote in the June 2000 ABA Journal: "...attorneys representing tort victims have an ethical and fiduciary obligation to obtain appropriate, fair and reasonable compensation for each client. Structured settlements offer an effective means of providing long-term financial security to the next of kin in wrongful death cases or to individuals with permanent, often profoundly disabling, physical injuries." |

Ann Marie VonBank, MBA, CSSC
Ann Marie is a newly elected member of the Board of Directors, and an Associate in Minneapolis where she manages operations in the upper Midwest. She has over 17 years of experience in both the insurance and legal fields and has focused exclusively on structured settlements since joining Ringler Associates in 1999. Ann Marie specializes in the resolution of all types of personal injury claims, including medical malpractice, product liability, workers’ compensation, employment, disability and transportation cases.
She designs and presents settlement annuity proposals that are unique to each injured client, managing each case from the initial referral to overseeing the closing documents. She attends mediations and settlement conferences, where she works closely with all parties involved in the negotiation process. She regularly delivers presentations on the benefits of structured settlements and related topics to insurance companies, self-insured organizations, law firms and various special interest associations. Respected by both the insurance industry and trial attorneys alike, she is known for developing creative plans after conducting individual needs analyses for injured parties and their families.
In addition to being a member of the National Structured Settlements Trade Association (NSSTA), Ann Marie was designated a Certified Structured Settlement Consultant (CSSC) by the University of Notre Dame in 2005. She was accredited by the American Bar Association as a Paralegal when she received her undergraduate Bachelor of Science degree from Winona State University and she also holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the University of St. Thomas in Minneapolis.
