Bill Mathews
Bill Mathews, who heads the St. Petersburg office on Florida's west coast, has 35 years of claims and structured settlements experience.
Prior to this affiliation, Bill was Manager of the Tampa office of the American Settlement Corporation. Before that he was Vice President of JMW Settlements, Inc., and Regional Vice President of Merrill Lynch Settlement Services in Tampa. Bill also has 15 years of claims management experience with Fireman's Fund Insurance in Atlanta, Houston and Tampa.
He began his insurance career in Miami as a Multi-Line Adjuster with Continental Insurance and then moved to Allstate Insurance Company as a Personal Lines Adjuster.
Bill has served on the Executive Committee of the Atlanta Claims Association, as Chairman of the Georgia No-Fault Arbitration Committee and Chairman of the Legislative Committee of the Houston Claims Management Council. He is an active member of the West Coast Claims Association, the Workers' Compensation Claims Professionals, the National Association of Life Underwriters and the National Structured Settlements Trade Association. He serves as Fund Raising Chairman for The Friends of 440 Scholarship Fund.
Bill received his Juris Doctor degree from the Atlanta Law School (1980) and a degree in Urban Life from Dekalb College in Clarkston, Georgia (1977). He is also a Mediator.
