Thomas P. Murray
Tom Murray is an associate in the New York City and Fairfield County, Connecticut offices. He began his career in claims and structured settlements in 1969, and has worked in the settlement annuity field since 1981.
Prior to joining Ringler Associates in 1989, he was Regional Vice President in the New York office of a major structured settlement firm, having joined that organization in 1985. Before that, he was president of a settlement annuity company which he established in Stamford, Connecticut, in 1981.
His claims background includes the position of Assistant Secretary with General Reinsurance Corporation in Greenwich, Connecticut, from 1978 to 1981. Between 1974 and 1978, he was Rehabilitation Coordinator with Home Insurance Corporation in New York. Between 1969 and 1974, he was a supervisor at Liberty Mutual Insurance Company.
A long-standing member of the National Structured Settlements Trade Association (NSSTA), Tom recently served as Co-Chair of the organization's Government Benefits Committee. He is also a member of the National Association of Life Underwriters, the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine, the Rehabilitation Engineering Society of North America, the National Head Injury Foundation, the New York Claim Association, Marquis Who's Who in Rehabilitation Professionals and Facilities, and a charter member of the Association of Health Insurance Agents.
He graduated from Nathaniel Hawthorne College (1968) in Antrim, New Hampshire, with a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and literature.
