Steven N. Cochran, CSSC
Steve, who heads the Indianapolis office, has more than 35 years of experience in structured settlements and claims. He is a member of the Ringler Associates Leadership Team, and he is a former member of the Board of Directors.
He entered the insurance field in 1972 with GAB Business Services in Chicago as a Casualty Adjuster and later Branch Casualty Supervisor. After seven years he moved to Monroe Guaranty Insurance as Regional Claims Manager and finally Claims Manager for nine years. Steve joined Ringler Associates in 1987. He received his designation of Certified Structured Settlement Consultant from the University of Notre Dame in 1995.
He is currently a Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter candidate, and a member of the Indianapolis Chapter of the Association of Life Underwriters, the National Association of Life Underwriters, and the National Structured Settlements Trade Association. In addition, he is a past member and Chairman of the Indianapolis Arbitration Committee. He has served as President, Vice President, and Secretary Treasurer of the Indianapolis Claims Managers Council. Steve has written articles, which have appeared in a number of industry-related periodicals.
He holds a bachelor of science degree in secondary education from Ball State University (1971). After college, Steve was a secondary education teacher for two years.
